The X-Files! I find that intro theme amazing! Followed closely by The Office and Thundercats!!! LOL.

Lost is one of my favorite shows of all time but seriously, that intro is lame.

    All of them! Haha.

Ok if I was forced to pick just one…I’d go with X-Men. Why? Because that theme music is SICK. No words needed, no singing, just kick ass 90s fight music with a pretty sweet intro to every main character. I remember getting so excited everytime I heard that theme song–definitely one of my favorite series’ of all time 🙂 This closely vies out my beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…”When the evil Shredder attacks, them turtle boys don’t cut him no slack!” Although I would have to say my favorite Turtle song would be Vanilla Ice’s “Ninja! Ninja! RAP! Go Ninja Go Ninja GO!” 🙂

I love the X-Files intro because let’s face it, that Mark Snow music is iconic. And I do love how cheesy and early ’90s the intro stayed, season after season.

Aw, and don’t knock the Lost intro–I loves it! It’s so simple, yet haunting. *strokes LOST intro* Shh baby, it’s ok. I won’t let the mean girls hurt you anymore.

    Great Poll!!!!!!!!!

My choice? Battlestar Gallactica. Very haunting when you know it’s cause their whole world was destroyed!!

I’ve always loved both the x-files and buffy’s theme, but as a recent convert to LOST addiction just watching the theme made me immediately want to watch an episode. Or twenty.

I had a tough time choosing between Star Trek and The Twilight Zone (you forgot The Outer Limits?!)

But I think I’ve got to go with Star Trek

*smacks forehead* The Outer Limits! Ay, I feel ashamed of myself.

Now bev–I gotta ask. Which version? The original? Or the remake? I’ve always been partial to the new remake episodes!

No one giving any love to Tales From the Crypt? Man I loved that show when I was little. It scared the bejeezus outta me, but I loved it 🙂

Thea, I prefer to watch Star Trek TNG (I’d sooo do Picard), but I’ve still gotta go with the original, oh-so-earnest opening narration by Shatner. Plus, you have to realize that those were some high tech special effects when I was a kid. We’d sit and wait for the Enterprise to appear and zoom past trying to outdo each other to be the first to see it appear.

Star Trek, Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits were HUGE in my house when I was growing up. Along with Gilligan’s Island. Oops, another classic opening! LOL

Kristie–the BSG theme is great, I love the drums and the flashing of what is coming up in the episode 🙂 Well…I just love BSG!

Amy–LOST is ridiculously addictive. You can’t stop at just one episode…kind of like pringles I guess?

Brie–The Buffy theme is awesome, gets you all pumped up for the episode. I just realized the clip I put up has a spanish voice over at the beginning, hah!

Dragonb–The ballad of Serenity is just awesome. “You can’t take the sky from me…” Gaah. Where is the next movie? Weren’t we promised 3 full length movies?

Little Alys–I feel your pain! Futurama is siiiiiick. I was stoked when we got Bender’s Big Score.

Bev, I actually meant which Outer Limits version! *blushes* I have to agree with you concerning TNG–so many wonderful characters (I just recently bought the Q collection, which is awesome good fun) but that’s not to say the OS isn’t one of my faves. It’s sacrilege in my family NOT to like original recipe Star Trek (my bf has come under heavy fire for voicing an “indifferent” opinion!).

Twilight Zone is a given 🙂 I love New Years and the 3 day marathon of epis on scifi.

    Gilligan’s Island! Ay. I need a part 2 of this poll…

X-Files!OFCOURSE!We watched about 20 epis while Ana was visiting, and every single time the theme came on I would just whistle along with it and she would crack up!LOL

Seriously in love with Mark Snow’s work but yeah Thundercats are also the shit! And I do recall doing some serious air guitar playing when Buffy’s theme was on!

Man I love all of them!

Thea – it’s that haunting voice that gets me every time in the GST opening.

And you do need another one for silly opening themes. If you need help I can think of some great ones. My sisters and I play games on who can remember the most words of some of the old sitcom shows like Gilligan’s Island, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies etc.

    What a fun poll!

Oh, it has to be Firefly for me. When I saw that up there I had to play it a few times for the sheer pleasure. Though I am partial to the Star Trek.

X-files and Friends for me. Yeah, I know they’re poles apart.

Definitely Thundercats!!!! They’re loose yo 🙂 Seriously, I still sing this theme (my daughter is majorly embarrassed and completely mystified by this).
