On the heels of Comic-Con, RWA was this past weekend! Lots of signings, photos, heck even a Today show segment (with some familiar faces). Make sure to check out Ciara’s blog for some great pics and recaps of the conference, signings, workshops, etc.

And, the moment of truth! The RITA and Golden Heart Awards were handed out Saturday evening! Check out the winners HERE.

This Week:

Ana is FINALLY back from her sun-filled Portuguese vacation–yay!

On Monday, Ana will review A Rake’s Guide to Pleasure, by Victoria Dahl which is set to be released on the 5th.

TRUE PLEASURE…
Raised by a titled, yet degenerate, father, Emma Jensen never imagined the gambling lessons she learned as a child would one day serve her well. When she finds herself in dire need of money, she concocts the alias of Dowager Lady Denmore and sets off to bewitch London’s noblemen by engaging them in games of chance. The fact that respectable ladies do not gamble does not intimidate her in the least. But the darkly handsome Duke of Somerhart does—for he’s awakened a deep, sensual hunger in her…
IS ALWAYS WORTH THE GAMBLE…
The dashing Duke of Somerhart has the notorious reputation of being one of London’s most incurable rogues. When he meets the alluring Lady Denmore, he is immediately intrigued. Her recklessness and innocence intertwined titillates him as no other woman ever has. But what secret is the lovely Lady Denmore hiding? He’s determined to find out. But first he must seduce her until she surrenders completely to his most wicked desires…

On Friday, Ana and I will have an anthology double feature–Ana will take on Wild Thing, while Thea gives her take on First Blood (both anthologies featuring the lovely Meljean Brook, of course!)

Both anthologies are in stores now.

In Other News…

This Friday, two wonderful things happened:

Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment to Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight Saga was released! Will Bella become a vampire? Where does her future lie? Stick around, and we’ll have our review up very soon.

Also on Friday evening, J.K. Rowling announced that The Tales of Beedle the Bard–formerly only one copy released–will be available for sale this December!

J K Rowling says: “There was understandable disappointment among Harry Potter fans when only one copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard was offered to the public last December. I am therefore delighted to announce that, thanks to the generous support of Bloomsbury, Scholastic and Amazon (who bought the handwritten copy at auction) – and with the blessing of the wonderful people who own the other six original books – The Tales of Beedle the Bard will now be widely available to all Harry Potter fans. Royalties will be donated to the Children’s High Level Group, to benefit institutionalised children in desperate need of a voice. The new edition will include the Tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and with illustrations by me, but also notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmasters’ Archive.”

Check out the full release here.

Hell freaking YES, once again!

I got Jocelynn’s book at RWA! I really want First Blood, but it’s hard to justify buying a new book when I just got three full boxes of books in San Fran. Wait, what am I saying? MUST HAVE MOOOORE BOOKS. I shall build a house out of them. 😉
