That is a hard one. The Twins from the Shinning still give me the creeps but the girl from the Ring is so terrifying.

More recently, Tomas (Mama, La casita de Tomas 😯 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) made me cry I was so scared. *shudders*

Can I vote for the Olsen twins when they were young?

Gage from Pet Semetary is the reason that movie failed for me – not because he was scary. Just the OPPOSITE. He was just so CUTE! The toddler was just too adorable for words so I never focused on how scary he was supposed to be. I kept thinking, “Awwww, look at you with your widdle top hat and scalpel! Who’s the adorable-est movie villain ever? You are! You are!”

I used to try to visualize a brick wall when I was in trouble for something I did… ^_~ I saw the Village of the Damned when I was young and I’ve never forgotten it!
IMO the scariest child is Sadako, I think. And the twins from The Shining are a very close second. But looking at the pics I wonder about Rhoda from The Bad Seed… I’ve never seen the movie though.

Oh, and congrats for the new website/layout! I liked the old one, but this is every bit as good ^_^

Ana, awww. I didn’t think El Orfanato was that scary. (But it made me cry for another reason *sobs* I love that film)

Hagelrat–LOL! I think the Olson twins still qualify as little kids. They weigh a combined 120 pounds, that’s gotta count for something, right? 😆

AnimeJune–no way!!! Well, when I saw Pet Sematary, I was only a little older than Gage, and I still remember being scared out of my wits by him. I even remember having a nightmare with him in it, holding a syringe, going “No fair! No fair!” 😯 But he is adorable, that’s for sure.

Jitterbug–Hah! That’s awesome! The good ol’ brick wall trick. Those little kids scare the crap out of me, I must have watched the Carpenter remake at least fifty times when I was younger. And I definitely recommend you give The Bad Seed a watch–Rhoda terrifies me as well.

And thank you for the kind words on our new site!

If I had to pick my favorite scary kid, I’d have to go with…Samara, Regan or Damien. Samara because most recently, The Ring is the best new horror movie in years (yes, I think even better than Ringu–which I did see way back when it first came out in Japan). Damien because he’s the antichrist and that trike scene is so terrifyingly cold-blooded. But ultimately, it’s gotta go to Regan. Demonic possession, all those disgusting, vomit and heart attack inducing scenes…I gotta go with The Exorcist, once again! 😈

    Hello, lady Smugglers!

I don’t watch (or read) much horror, but I think that, from the ones I have watched, the girl from The Bad Seed and Henry from The Good Son are more terrifying than any other characters.

Hello azteclady 🙂 The Bad Seed is totally creepy, isn’t it? *shudders* And yes! Macaulay Culkin (I know I spelled that wrong) is freaky in The Good Son…he does his angelic little Kevin McCallister smile and it creeps me out.

In an unrelated note, I love how tiny he and Elijah Wood are in that picture! Awww. Little hobbit.

All very freaky, but I’ll go with The Good Son. I’m still not over the scare I got from that movie.

The twins…the twins!!! Oh god, they terrify me. (In college a group that I was in did a haunted house one year, and a pal of mine and I dressed up like the twins and walked around the hallways saying, “Come play with us…come play with us…” We freaked out a lot of big manly frat boys 🙂 )

Tomas freaked me out too, but nothing in that movie compares to that knocking game she plays by herself with the ghost children. Bwah!

I’ve seen all those movies! Yes, I’m a horror movie freakazoid.

Let me see, I was most freaked out by Gage from Pet Cemetery. But Rhoda from The Bad Seed disturbed me the most.

I don’t really like horror much so I’ve seen only a few of these movies. However, my vote goes to the girl in the Ring. The twins in Shining and the girl in the Others get a joined second place.

Probably Isaac from ‘The Children of the Corn’ maybe because that is one of my favorite movies.

I also think Gage from ‘Pet Cemetery’ is also creepy.
