Not too much news going around this week, although there is apparently a kerfluffle of epic proportions going on with Christopher Pike and his The Secret of Ka. Yikes.

Also, this weekend is New York Comic Con! As Thea has recently relocated to the big city, she’ll definitely be in attendance (and finally, panel schedules are online). Anyone else going?

This Week on The Book Smugglers:

On Monday, we are hosting the latest stop on Nancy Werlin’s Extraordinary Blog Tour! Nancy will be over for an Inspirations and Influences piece, we’ll have a giveaway, along with (of course!) a review from Thea of the book.

On Tuesday, we have a joint review of new science fiction novel Lightborn by Tricia Sullivan. We’ll also have a guest post from Tricia later in the day.

Wednesday, Ana reviews The Invisible Order by Paul Crilley…

And on Thursday we have PNR and UF author Jennifer Estep over for a guest post and giveaway of Venom, the latest book in her Gin Blanco series.

Friday, Thea reviews Elfland by Freda Warrington to close out the week.

Thea James is one half of the maniacal duo behind The Book Smugglers. She is Filipina-American, but grew up in Hawaii, Indonesia, and Japan. A full-time book nerd who works in publishing for her day job, Thea currently resides in Astoria, Queens with her partner and rambunctious cat. COOKING FOR WIZARDS, WARRIORS & DRAGONS (available August 31, 2021) is her first cookbook.

    YAY THEA! I will be at Comic Con Friday afternoon and on Saturday. Can’t wait to go to the Diana Gabaldon panel and the HarperCollins one as well.

    Maybe I can hook up with a storm trooper?

    Have fun at New York Comic Con, Thea! Sounds like fun! I am envious of all the author events you are near now.
