This Week on the Book Smugglers:

On Monday, Ana kicks off the week with her thoughts on award-winning Historical (Non-Fiction?) Novel HHhH by Laurent Binet.

On Tuesday, Thea reviews the apocalyptic YA novel Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne.

On Wednesday, Thea is back with her review of YA sci-fi novel Spark, the sequel to Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan YA dystopian novel The Forsaken by Lisa M. Stasse.

Then, on Thursday Ana is back with a review Twilight Robbery/Fly Trap by Frances Hardinge (sequel to the AbFab Fly By Night)

Finally, we end the week on a high note, with a guest post from Ilona Andrews, talking Inspirations & Influences for her new novel in the Kate Daniels universe, Gunmetal Magic (Thea also reviews the book over at Kirkus!). Plus, we have a joint review of Advent by James Treadwell.

And I will leave you with this fun cartoon. This conversation has happened more times than I care to count at Casa de Ana.

And that’s it from us today, as usual we remain…

I can’t wait to see what you guys think of Gunmetal Magic. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for that one to come out.

And that comic is so true to my life…

That is my current summation of feelings about Gunmetal Magic. Hmm…I suppose this means I should get off my but and read Magic Slays already!

I’m really excited to hear your thoughts on The Forsaken. I keep seeing it everywhere and I am in love with the cover but I actually haven’t seen too many reviews of it.
