It’s Friday which means we’re over at Kirkus! Today, Thea tackles disaster science fiction thriller The Martian by Andy Weir…

The Martian

And she LOVED it. The Martian has just the right amount of humor, combined with a strong dose of practical problem-solving math & science, plus a positive outlook on humanity to boot. Go HERE to read the full review.

Long-time lurker comes out to say – the audiobook is fantastic! One of my best listens for 2013 and narrated by R. C. Bray … and who is he? I’ve got no idea but he nails Watney and the book is perfect. I’ve rec’d it to everyone and all who have listened, love it. This book is a hidden gem. I highly recommend the audiobook.

I listened to the audio book version narrated by RC Bray as well. I loved this book so much that I stopped just before I got to the end and listened to it a second time through. I didn’t want to “spoil” it for myself so I didn’t listen to the end until the second time. I loved it. This book is my new favorite.
